H.Res. 915 is expected to be considered on the floor of the House on Tuesday, December 8, 2009, under a motion to suspend the rules, requiring a two-thirds vote for passage. The legislation was introduced Rep. Joe Donnelly (D-IN) on November 18, 2009.

 

H.Res. 915 would resolve that the House of Representatives:
• "Condemns the recent action by the Hungarian National Radio and Television Board that awarded the national community radio licenses;
• "Encourages the Republic of Hungary to respect the rule of law and treat foreign investors fairly; and
• "Encouragers the Republic of Hungary to maintain its commitment to a free and independent press."
