Expressing support for greater awareness of ovarian cancer

H.Res. 727 is expected to be considered on the floor of the House on Tuesday, December 1, 2009, under a motion to suspend the rules, requiring a two-thirds vote for passage.  The legislation was introduced by Rep. Steve Israel (D-NY) on September 9, 2009.

 

H.Res. 727 would resolve that the House of Representatives supports the goals and ideals of National Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month.

According to the resolution's findings, the Ovarian Cancer National Alliance during the month of September holds a number of events to increase public awareness of ovarian cancer.
