H.Res. 567 is expected to be considered on the floor of the House on Tuesday, October 6, 2009, under a motion to suspend the rules, requiring a two-thirds vote for passage. The resolution was introduced by Rep. John Campbell (R-CA) on June 19, 2009.

H.Res. 567 would resolve that the House of Representatives:
• "Congratulates the men's volleyball team of the University of California, Irvine, and its Chancellor, Michael V. Drake, M.D., for winning the 2009 NCAA Division I Men's Volleyball National Championship; and
• "Recognizes the achievements of the players, coaches, students, alumni, and staff who were instrumental in helping the University of California, Irvine win the national title."

 

According to the resolution's findings, the UC Irvine men's volleyball team won their second National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I Men's Volleyball National Championship.
