Paul Newman's acting career spanned 50 years. He was nominated for ten Oscar Awards and won Best Actor in 1986 for his role in "The Color of Money." Newman won the Lifetime Achievement Award in 1985.
In 1982, Newman started Newman's Own, a food and beverage company which began with salad dressings. Paul Newman was also a dedicated philanthropist, and he donated all profits from Newman's Own to educational and charitable purposes.
Paul Newman passed away in September 2008, and is remembered as an actor, entrepreneur, and humanitarian.
