Sergeant Marcus Mathes of Zephyrhills, Florida, was killed on April 28, 2008, during a rocket attack in Baghdad. Sergeant Mathes was assigned to the 94th Brigade Support Battalion, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division, based out of Fort Polk, Louisiana. He also served in Afghanistan from October 2006 until March 2007.
