Caroline O'Day served as a Member of Congress from New York-she was elected as a Democrat to the 74th and to the three succeeding Congresses (January 3, 1935-January 3, 1943).  She served as Chairwoman of the Committee on Election of President, Vice President, and Representatives and died in Rye, N.Y., January 4, 1943.
